| Your Getaway Vacation Home with easy access to everything Lake Tahoe has to offer! This vacation rental is on the Nevada side of the lake, just a 3-minute walk to the lake and Zephyr Cove Resort (restaurant, public beach, M.S. Dixie II cruise ship & watercraft rental, and hiking). Just 4 miles north of South Lake Tahoe gaming casinos (Tahoe Blue, Harrah's, Horizon, Harvey's, and Lakeside), 15 minutes from Heavenly ski area, 1 mile from Sam's Place  (a favorite for beer and pizza), and 1/2 mile south of Zephyr Cove Park
(library, lit tennis courts, picnic areas, playground, and fitness courses). Plenty of National Forest trails in the
area for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. In the winter, snow disks are left in the garage for use on
the slope next to the house.

The Zephyr Cove Resort and public beach
is a short walk from the house. The restaurant, general store &
gift shop are open year round. In the spring, summer, and fall, the beachfront bar
is open, and is a great place to watch the sun set. During the summer, the swimsuit shop, watercraft rental, and parasailing attractions are open. The beach has two sand volleyball courts (the Beachfront Bar & Grill has some rental volleyballs) and a mile of sandy beach with picnic areas and a hiking trail. Year-round boat charter and M.S. Dixie II sternwheeler cruises are also available.

In the surrounding Toiyabe National Forest, there are lots of things to do for fun and excitement. For starters, Snowmobiling is offered by the Zephyr Cove Resort in the winter months, and in the summer months enjoy horseback riding at the Zephyr Cove Stables. |  |
| You will find Fishing throughout the area. At the Zephyr Cove Resort (and at the South Lake Tahoe Marina), charter boats can take you out to catch Makinaw Lake Trout and Kokonee Salmon. A few miles north of Zephyr is the Cave Rock public boat ramp and picnic area. Either a California or Nevada state license is valid for fishing anywhere on the lake, and charter fishing companies can provide a 2-day license. In the surrounding national forests, hikers can find lake and stream fishing. |  |

The Lake Tahoe area is surrounded by the El Dorado, Tahoe, and Toiyabe National Forests. You will find plenty of national forest hiking trails with spectacular mountain and lake scenery in the surrounding area. One easy hike begins just 3 miles north of Zephyr Cove, and leads to the top of Cave Rock. The Desolation Wilderness, Tahoe Rim Trail, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing areas are all within an easy drive. For a challenging hike, try the climb to the summit of Mt. Tallac, in the Desolation Wilderness. |

A rustic public park is a short distance from the house (1/2 mile), nestled in amongst the pines. Zephyr Cove Park has lit tennis courts (with a tennis pro on duty from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), a lit softball field, picnic areas with barbecues, fitness courses, and a library. |  |
| After the sun goes down at Lake Tahoe, the nightlife begins. Gaming and Shows are available at the nearby gaming casinos. Tahoe Blue, Harrah's, Horizon, Harvey's, and The Lakeside casinos are just 4 miles away, and it is an easy 20-minute drive to the Tahoe Hyatt at Incline Village or the casinos in Carson City. For your dining out, we recommend trying some of our favorite restaurnts. |  |
